What is the FEAC and why are we part of it?

  • The Concept

The FEAC is a student federation uniting 19 associations from top Parisian schools and universities.
It creates spaces for dialogue and action around African and Caribbean cultures and issues.
EFAB is proud to be part of this collective that uplifts Afro-descendant voices and drives meaningful student initiatives.

  • The Vision

This alliance gives EFAB access to a dynamic, engaged, and values-driven network.
Through the FEAC, we can take part in meaningful national events, connect with like-minded associations, and bring our vision beyond the walls of our school.
It’s an opportunity to inspire, represent, and grow as a community — while contributing to a broader movement centered around equity, empowerment and cultural pride.

  • The Impact

We aim to strengthen our presence within the FEAC by taking an active role in their key events like Africana, debates, and afterworks.
Our members will be encouraged to participate in mentoring programs such as FEAC Inspire, and we’ll ensure a consistent EFAB representation throughout the year.
This partnership also opens the door to new collaborations, inter-association projects, and a stronger voice for EFAB in student spaces that matter.

Why It Matters for EFAB

A Strategic and Empowering Network

The FEAC gathers 19 student associations from top-tier institutions — including Sciences Po, HEC, ESSEC, Assas, and more.
By being part of this network, EFAB steps into a larger ecosystem of Afro-descendant voices that share similar values, ambitions, and struggles.
It’s not just about belonging — it’s about exchanging practices, learning from others’ experiences, and co-creating initiatives that matter.
This alliance allows us to break out of the school bubble and position EFAB within a broader, inter-associative movement with real influence.

a Platform for Action and Visibility

Through FEAC’s key events — like Africana, the Hémicycles, and FEAC Inspire — our members don’t just attend, they act.
They take the floor during debates, showcase their leadership, and mentor younger students.
This gives EFAB national visibility, but more importantly, it allows our members to have a tangible social and educational impact beyond our campus.
Our ideas, our voice, our identity — they become part of something bigger, seen and recognized across the Parisian student sphere.

A Space to Amplify EFAB’s Identity

This partnership gives us a structured space to represent EFAB — regularly and intentionally.
Not through random attendance, but through a strategy: choosing who speaks for us, building consistent ties with the FEAC team, and inviting them to our own signature events like the Intergenerational Gala.
It’s also a way to anchor our presence on the long term — ensuring that EFAB is not just “in” the network, but recognized as a key player within it.
It’s about relevance, not just affiliation.

FAQs - Learn more about this partnership

  • While big events like Africana get visibility, the FEAC also works year-round on mentorship, advocacy, and internal training.
For example, the FEAC Inspire program helps high schoolers from underrepresented backgrounds navigate higher education, with mentoring and workshops led by students like us.

  • It’s not just a network — it’s a movement.
Rooted in shared experiences around Afro-descendant identity, it offers a space where cultural representation meets concrete action.
That blend of community and purpose is what sets the FEAC apart.

  • Africana is FEAC’s flagship annual event, hosted at the Sorbonne. It mixes conferences, panels, artistic showcases, and a cultural market, all centered on African and Caribbean themes.
It’s a place to learn, connect, celebrate — and proudly represent EFAB.

  • FEAC’s “Hémicycles” cover powerful, often under-discussed topics — from the challenges of African youth in French universities, to identity, mental health, or Afro-Caribbean entrepreneurship.
The goal: create open, constructive, and collective conversations that educate and empower.
