Corporate Social Responsibility

Driven by purpose, EFAB is committed to creating lasting impact. From inclusion to sustainability, our CSR approach is deeply embedded in everything we do.

Commitment to Diversity and Inclusion

  • Showcasing Every Voice

At EFAB, we celebrate the richness of backgrounds and identities. Every week, our communications highlight at least one individual from an underrepresented group, ensuring that all members can see themselves reflected in our messaging and that we embrace the full diversity of our community.

  • Gender Balance in Our Teams

We actively work towards gender balance across all roles within EFAB. This commitment guides both our recruitment processes and our distribution of leadership responsibilities, ensuring fairness and representation at every level.

  • Inclusive and Purposeful Events

All of our SG events include a symbolic solidarity fee of €2.50, which is fully donated to a non-profit. This year, we’re proud to support Écologie Universelle, a Franco-African organization working toward ecological and social transformation across both continents.

  • Strengthening Inter-Association Ties

EFAB opens its doors to the broader EDHEC community by organizing “before” events in collaboration with other student groups. These moments encourage cross-association attendance, enhance our visibility, and help us fulfill our mission of promoting African culture and business beyond our own circle.

Environmental Commitment

  • Eco-Friendly Event Practices

We’ve eliminated single-use plastic from all our events. Depending on the context, we now use recyclable cardboard tableware or personalized EFAB eco-cups. A name-labeling system helps reduce waste and overconsumption in a simple but impactful way.

  • Greener Web Browsing with Ecosia

We encourage all EFAB members to use Ecosia as their default search engine. Ecosia works just like Google—but each search funds the planting of trees in areas affected by deforestation. It’s a small habit with a powerful environmental impact.

Professional Development & Career Support

  • Personal Growth Through RSE Interviews

Twice a year, each member participates in a CSR (RSE) interview. These sessions provide space for reflection on personal growth, contribution to EFAB, and ways we can improve collectively as a team.

  • Mentorship Between First and Second Years

Every first-year member is paired with a second-year mentor from a different team. These cross-team pairings foster stronger bonds across EFAB and ensure a warm, welcoming environment for new members.

  • Mock Interviews for Real-Life Preparation

In the second semester, we offer mock job interviews with detailed feedback to help members prepare for internships, part-time jobs, or apprenticeships. These sessions provide a safe, supportive environment to build confidence and sharpen professional skills.

Transparency & Internal Organization

  • Annual Impact Report

Each year, we publish a detailed Impact Report highlighting our CSR initiatives, goals, actions, and results. This report is shared across all platforms—our website, Instagram, LinkedIn, and sponsorship brochures—to increase transparency and attract value-aligned partners.

  • Open Communication Through Anonymous Q&A

To encourage honest dialogue, we’ve created an anonymous FAQ section on our website where members can ask questions anytime. New submissions are addressed at each General Assembly to foster trust, openness, and transparency.

  • Monthly Follow-Up on First-Year Engagement

We’ve introduced a monthly system to track first-year involvement. Members log their completed tasks, which are reviewed by team leads during a monthly call with EFAB leadership. All notes are compiled into liaison journals for clear and fair evaluation throughout the year.

  • Smarter Resource Management

To reduce waste and avoid unnecessary purchases, we maintain a shared, regularly updated inventory of our materials and equipment. This system allows us to make the most of our resources and promotes a responsible approach to event planning and logistics.
